We are a Confessional Reformed church that believes God's Word is perfect.  We are a church wanting our souls purified by obedience to the truth that we might therefore with “sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart” (1Peter 1:22).

We believe that to be in truth, God’s Word alone is sufficient to guide our theology, piety, and practice.  We therefore gather each Lord's Day to worship with “acceptable worship, with reverence and awe” according to the Word of God (Heb 13:28).  God takes worship seriously, he devotes the first four commandments directly to worship:

  1. “You shall have no other gods before me,”
  2. “You shall not make for yourself and idol,”
  3. “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord,”
  4. “Remember the Sabbath day.”

We, therefore, take worship seriously because we take God’s Word seriously.  For example, our confession of the faith states, “The whole manner of worship which God requires of us is written in them at large (Scripture).” Our worship is guided by Scripture alone. We only do what God’s Word requires for we believe it is perfect.

Because our value of truth and God’s Word, we believe God alone is Lord of the conscience, therefore no one can make us do what God has prohibited.  In matters of faith and worship, we only do what God has commanded.  Our church  only declares what the Word of God teaches.  We do not teach the commandments or opinion of man.  We therefore don’t care about your secular affairs unless addressed by the Scripture.  We focus on the gospel, the power of God unto salvation, in our preaching, in the sacraments, and in church discipline.

We are all about the free grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and welcome any and all who need to rest from the burden’s of this sad world.  We find peace and rest in the weekly preaching of the gospel from God’s Word, for “faith comes by hearing” (Rom 10:17) and hearing the Word of truth (James 1:18).  We find rest and grow as a family unto the Lord. We invite you to come and be a part of this family.
